The text doesn't say that fixed him, but it does say that's where God started, with the body. If you're at the bottom, that's still where to start.
God, I've had enough, and tonight I'm not asking for answers, just sleep and something to eat.

Eat a proper meal and go to bed an hour earlier than usual. Nothing else is required of you today.

Nothing in the Bible says that praying and seeing a therapist are rivals, or that taking medication means your faith failed; depression and anxiety are illnesses, and illnesses get treated. If you've been putting off getting help because you thought God wanted you to tough it out, this verse is your permission slip.

If you've been meaning to book a Doctor or therapist appointment, book it today. If you're on medication, take it, and thank God for the people who made it.

It doesn't hide you from him or him from you. You might not be able to see anything right now, and that's not the same as not being seen.
God, it's dark in here, and I'm holding onto the fact that it isn't dark to you.

The thing he was afraid of was the start of everything.
God, I'm scared of people noticing that I'm not fine, so help me let one person see it.

The messenger's first words aren't information; they're 'you're loved', then 'don't be afraid', then 'be strong', said twice. Only after Daniel can stand does the message come. Being steadied comes before being told anything.
God, before you tell me anything, tell me I'm loved, because I can't take in the rest without it.

Tell someone who's overwhelmed that they're loved, before you offer any advice at all.

Isaiah allows that, so faithfulness and darkness aren't treated as opposites. The instruction for that person isn't 'find the light'. It's 'trust and lean', which you can do with your eyes shut.
