New Testament in 90 days

Most people who start a plan like this do not finish it, and it's worth saying why before you begin. It is rarely because the reading is too hard. It is because they miss a Tuesday, then a Thursday, then look at the app and see they're nine days behind, and the honest math says catching up would take three hours. So they stop. The plan didn't fail. The idea that every day had to happen on its day did.

So here is how to actually finish. Three chapters a day is about twelve minutes, less than most people spend deciding what to watch. Pick a time that already exists in your day, on the bus or before bed, and attach the reading to it. Read in order, because the New Testament is roughly in order: four accounts of Jesus, then what happened next, then the letters written to those churches, then Revelation. By the time you get to Paul's letters you'll have met most of the people he's writing to. And when you miss a day, and you will, don't catch up. Just read the next day's reading the next day. The plan is 90 days of reading, not 90 consecutive dates. If it takes you 110 days, you read the whole New Testament in 110 days, which is more than almost anyone you know has done. The only way to fail is to stop.
